take me where the city bleeds amidst shells of dubious moments, fluttering scraps from billboards, lethal mornings of trembling lights, lathered reflections of the underworld, wind-washed paper bits of a street with no name, erased by rancid vapors of industrial dumps, acid despair, rivulets of unshaven foam, where a lank solitary tree moans and barks at a pissing mongrel. Bleed me where the city takes its toll of the parting day, cracking jokes at the opening clouds, changing passer-bys, chasers of rain memories. Close your eyes and lead me to the burrow where the bodies will rest, so painlessly hidden and wrapped in silent mufflers of shuddering blades of grass.
